What is PRO-Cell Technology?
Photocatalytic Oxidation (PCO) is a reaction that occurs when Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) is exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light rays. When VOCs, gaseous contaminants, and odors come into contact with the PRO-Cell™ surface, they are converted to odorless, harmless, water vapor and Carbon Dioxide. The titanium dioxide catalyst is activated by UV light which neutralizes biological contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, mold, and fungi. When used properly, PCO is a powerful air sanitizer ideal for controlling air quality.
Induct Air Purifiers & Deodorizers
The TRIO-16, TRIO-20, TRIO-16HHS and Trio-20HHS induct air purification systems keeps air in the home fresh, clean, and pure. As air enters the Trio, it is filtered with a MERV 13 media air filter cartridge. This pleated 4-inch filter traps particles as small as .3 micron including mold, bacteria, dust, dander, and pollen. After the filter, the air passes through UVC germicidal lamps. This treatment zone is powered by two high-efficiency 24-inch UVC germicidal lamps that neutralize airborne germs, bacteria, viruses, mold, and fungi. The final phase uses patented PRO-Cell technology, our exclusive Photo-Reactive Oxidation process. When the patented aluminum honeycomb cells are exposed to the UVC germicidal light, the PRO-Cell’s extensive surface area transforms odors and VOCs into harmless, odorless, water vapor and carbon dioxide.
