Portable Air Purification Technology
The technology in Field Controls’ air treatment products are backed by science. The CDC, WHO, and ASHRAE all recommend UVC and HEPA filtration to improve indoor air quality and reduce airborne disease transmission.
All of Field Controls Portable Air Purifiers do not generate harmful ozone and pass the strict California Air Resource Board (CARB) ozone requirements. Field Controls’ lamps convert ozone back into safe, healthy oxygen. Ozone is a toxic gas which can damage the lungs when inhaled. Even low amounts can cause chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath, and throat irritation. Ozone may also worsen chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma and compromise the ability of the body to fight respiratory infections.

The pre-filter screen is reusable and can be washed and vacuumed to remove large particulates that build up. The H13 HEPA and activated carbon filters should be replaced after every 6 months of use, depending on the environment. If the area the unit is running in sees high amounts of air contaminants, the filters may require changing more frequently.
How often should the UVC lamp be replaced in the TRIO Plus Portable Air Purifier?
We recommend the lamp be replaced every 12 months for optimal performance.

Sizing for a room depends on how many air changes per hour you need. The TRIO Plus has a high airflow and in one hour can exchange the volume of the air in 1,100 sq. ft. room, and exchange 5 times the volume of the air in a 660 sq. ft. room.
