MECHANICAL DRAFT THAT MOVES WITH YOUR SYSTEM

Power venters allow fuel-burning appliances to safely vent combustion gases through side walls or rooftops when a natural chimney isn’t available or ideal. By using a fan-driven exhaust system, they help maintain proper draft pressure, improve burner performance, and give installers flexibility in system design.
When paired with a matching control kit, Field Controls’ power venters operate only when needed—improving safety, reducing energy waste, and protecting equipment.
WHY POWER VENTING SYSTEMS MATTER
Vent Without a Chimney Power venters enable safe horizontal or vertical flue gas venting for appliances in basements, garages, and other confined spaces.
Consistent, Controlled Draft Ensures combustion gases are exhausted at the correct rate, reducing backdraft risk and improving burner efficiency.
Improved Safety Control kits activate the venter only during burner operation and provide built-in safety interlocks to verify proper airflow before ignition.
Flexible Installation for retrofit or nontraditional installations where gravity venting isn’t possible or code-compliant.

HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS
When the thermostat calls for heat, the control kit activates the power venter fan, which begins exhausting flue gases from the appliance. Once proper airflow is confirmed by the pressure or airflow switch, the burner is allowed to ignite. After the heat cycle ends, the post-purge control will begin and keep the fan running briefly, clearing any remaining combustion gases.
This sequence ensures safe operation every time—while reducing standby losses and preventing hot air from lingering in the vent line.
