They recommend “Creating ‘concentric rings’ of defense is key to combatting pathogens like SARS-CoV-2 and influenza.” The article speaks to why clean air is essential to combating an airborne virus threat from SARS-CoV-2, and it describes a three-layered approach, what we call concentric rings of defense, to addressing this challenge in healthy schools.
