Three-Stage Process: MERV 13 Nano-Carbon Filtration, UVC Germicidal Purification, and PRO-Cell Technology

Outperforming any other electronic air cleaner or air purifier on the market, TRIO’s best-in-class, patented technology uses a three-in-one approach to dramatically improve indoor air quality.

First, as air flows through the TRIO, it’s filtered with a MERV 13 media air filter cartridge. This pleated, four-inch filter traps particles as minute as .3 microns, including mold, bacteria, dust, dander and pollen.

Then, the air goes through a treatment zone powered by two high-efficiency, 24-inch UVC germicidal lamps that reduce airborne germs, bacteria, viruses, mold and fungi.

The last stage uses patented PRO-Cell technology, which is TRIO’s exclusive Photo-Reactive Oxidation process. How does it work? Simply put, it works a lot like the catalytic converter on your car. When the patented titanium dioxide-coated catalytic aluminum substrate is exposed to the UVC germicidal light, PRO-Cell’s sweeping surface area takes those odors and VOCs and converts them into harmless water vapor and carbon dioxide.
