Local Students Gain Real-World Experience at Field Controls
(Kinston, NC) – Two students will spend their summer at Field Controls. Justin Shimer and Erica Jusko have joined Field Controls as summer interns. The internship was created to give upcoming young professionals in the community an opportunity to grow and gain real-world experience in their areas of interest.
Shimer, originally from Kinston, is a rising senior at North Carolina State University majoring in Chemistry. He will work with Field Controls’ engineering staff on lean projects and administrative support.
Jusko, a LaGrange native, graduated from North Carolina State University with a major in Biology and a minor in Pre-Med. She will begin working on a scheduling project for their metal fabrication process. In the fall, Jusko will teach Science at Frink Middle School and continue to pursue a Master’s degree in Biology.
“We love when it’s time for interns to join the team,” said Patrick Holleran, president of Field Controls. “We are excited to have Erica join us as a new summer intern with strong ties to our area. We are also pleased to have Justin return after demonstrating excellent skills as an intern with us last summer.”
Field Controls leads the way in manufacturing diverse and innovative air movement, air control, and air quality products for improving indoor environments.
